This global meeting brought together 350 stakeholders from 65 countries including multilateral agencies, government representatives, academics, disabled people’s organisations (DPOs) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
- The event concluded in the creation of a conference-wide statement calling on governments to consult with people with disabilities to develop new and inclusive frameworks for the post-2015 development agenda.
- The conference also launched the Leonard Cheshire Disability and World Bank Disability Database, the world’s first fully searchable online database of government disability projects in developing countries.
